Amazon: Wish List Branding

BACKGROUND

While at Amazon working with the Wishlist team, I was asked to create a brand extension for the Wishlist and Universal Wishlist features called “Shimmer”.

The brief was to convey the magic-like features of Universal Wish Lists while maintaining the familiar Amazon marks. The logo introduced two new brand colors that were later integrated into UI elements.

As it evolved, Shimmer found its way into Amazon Books retail outlets as well. Overall it’s a fun, effervescent device that conveys optimism, delight, and a bit of magic.
