Expedia: Jobs Marketplace
BACKGROUND
While at Expedia our team identified an opportunity to support employee career growth, knowledge sharing, and cross-organizational collaboration within the company. To address these needs, I designed and developed the Jobs Marketplace app, an innovative platform that allows employees to "try on" new roles and gain exposure to new knowledge and technologies, while fostering a collaborative company culture. This product was integrated into an existing employee experience which I was also product owner and designer.
The Expedia Jobs Marketplace app is a user-friendly application that features sophisticated matching algorithms to help employees discover temporary "gigs" or "rotations" within the company. The easy-to-use design of the tool allows managers to easily offer opportunities to the marketplace with just a few clicks, enabling employees to explore various roles and experiences across the organization.
This product would replace decades-old inconsistent and manual processes.
