Expedia: Mosaic

BACKGROUND

Profile image

The overarching goal of this project was to centralize and enhance the primary tools employees require to excel in their work. In response, I created Mosaic, an innovative employee tool designed to enhance collaboration, foster knowledge sharing, and support employee growth within the company.

Mosaic offers a range of features to support Expedians in their daily work.

  • LinkedIn-type profiles, which showcase achievement and recognition badges, and integrate with Jobs Marketplace skills matching.

  • A Jobs Marketplace for finding new and internal opportunities.

  • Objectives & Key Results tool for documenting, sharing, monitoring, and aligning individual and team goals.

  • Teams feature, which allows ad-hoc team creation and communication of contacts, OKRs, and the team's highest priorities, promoting transparency and knowledge sharing.

  • Peer-to-peer recognition through the Kudos feature, which enables employees to acknowledge and celebrate each other's accomplishments.

MY ROLE

I was the product owner/manager and designer for Mosaic. I worked with a team of front and back-end developers for implementation.

The primary challenges Mosaic aims to address are:

Since its launch, Mosaic has achieved significant results:
